How to Dispose Bamboo Toothbrush

YourSmileBox biodegradable bamboo toothbrush means there is one less plastic toothbrush floating in the ocean or clogging up land fill. Here are a few steps to  dispose your toothbrush properly for maximum environmental friendliness.

Change your toothbrush every 3 months or once you start noticing that the bristles are being worn down.

YourSmileBox bristles are made from corn starch and a small amount of nylon to last longer. Use pliers to remove the bristles and compost the handle of the toothbrush.

If you bury the toothbrush horizontally in the soil, it will take 2-3 years to decompose. Composting at home should take around 6 months. An industrial compost should break a toothbrush down in a few weeks because they are much warmer and more active.
